Who are you?
My name is Blanca Pérez-Cabrero, I am a freelance jewelry designer and stylist. I was born and raised in Barcelona and this is also where I develop my designs and where I am inspired. On the other hand, I love to travel and discover!
What is your background so far?
I studied fashion design at IED in Barcelona.
I immediately started working as a stylist at Mango afterwards and I stayed there for 4 years. Then I started to focus and professionalize my brand, BPCR , which has become my current job. at the same time that I combine with styling for other brands.
How was the BPCR born? Why are the parts special?
BPCR was born out of fun. In design school I was taught to sew and that's when I started to create clothes. From a fabric that I cut one day, I made fabric earrings and all my friends liked them very much, so I started making accessories. p >
It was a slow and very organic process, until I reached out to my communications officer who helped me grow and spread the word about the brand.
I think the most special thing about my pieces is that I buy antiques like brooches, buttons, chains, etc. and turn them back into necklaces, earrings , but with a more contemporary style.
Carrying an object that belonged to someone else and that has a hidden story is something that fascinates me and which, giving it a second life, making it shine again.
Your greatest inspiration?
My greatest source of inspiration is nature. The shapes and colors of plants, flowers, rivers, the sea ...
A book: I am Pilgrim
A film: Knight
A song: Perra by Rigoberta Bandini
Your favorite spots in Barcelona:
The restaurant Il Giardinetto , a legendary restaurant in Barcelona.
The Swing Vintage is my favorite vintage shop.
And an afternoon walk in the Born.
If you weren't living in Barcelona, where would you live?
I would live in Marrakech without hesitation.
I love its streets, its restaurants hidden on the roofs, its artisanal products, its colors and its inhabitants!
What is your Saturday morning selfcare ritual?
I wash my face with soap and water. I massage my face with my Guasha that my sister gave me. And finally, I put on some moisturizer and eye cream, which I didn't use before, but found that I have very dry skin under my eyes. p >
And I don't wear makeup at all!
What beauty products do you always carry with you?
Always hydrating lipstick and lip balm!
Your experience QUINQUE in three words:
COMFORTANT, REVITALIZING & FIRMING
