WELLNESS JOURNAL

From the laboratory to your bathroom!

From the laboratory to your bathroom!

We assure you that our products have passed all the controls to be placed on the European market, but also all the other products that are in your bathroom.

More or less natural, more or less adapted to your skin, your preferences or your way of consuming, they had to go through the same regulatory constraints.

Indeed, absolutely all cosmetic products existing on the European market must have passed:

  • A stability test of the formula. In this test, the product is placed under extreme temperature conditions to verify that it does not lose any of its properties.

  • A container-content compatibility test . This test ensures that there is no exchange of particles between our packaging and our formula.

  • A patch test, , ie a skin tolerance test. The product is tested using a patch to study skin reactions under dermatological control. This test ensures that the product is non-irritant. Are all products tested on sensitive skin? Not necessarily, it's the brand that decides. At QUINQUE, all of our products have been tested by volunteers with this skin type.

  • An eye irritation test in the event that the product is likely to be used on the eye area. There are several ways to do this test. At QUINQUE, we used the HCE method: application of the product on a model of reconstituted Human Corneal Epithelium.

Finally, according to the Annex of Regulation (EC) n ° 1223/2009 , a safety report is made by a toxicologist . This report is used to ensure the safety of the product and to estimate the performance of additional tests before placing the product on the market, such as the photosensitization or phototoxicity test for products containing photosensitive or photosensitizing ingredients.
